pale rose on Short Paid Cover to Scotland, mailed from Sand Point U.C. (scarce double broken circle dated JAN.16.1871) and addressed to Colmonell, Ayrshire Scotland, through Montreal (JAN.13 transit), redirected to Girvan (FEB.2 receiver) through
Glasgow ("PACKET UNPAID" FEB.2 transit handstamp). There is a rare "SHORT PAID / HALF FINE" (with amounts filled-in, then crossed-out). An overall very fine and interesting cover, still on album page with detailed write up of the rate, route, etc. (Scan a)
