969 CVR Worldwide imageAdvanced Collection of "Transorma" Mail Sorting Machine Markings, with 112 covers or cards, all written-up on album pages in a binder. Transorma (for TRANsportation and SORting of mail and the initials of inventors Marchand and Andriessen) began trials in Brighton in early 1935. This extensive collection is organized by cities where the machines were in use, starting with Brighton (1936 to 1967), Silver Spring (USA), Buenos Aires, Ghent (Belgium), Caracas, Rio (1941 to 1950), Sao Paulo, Peterborough (Canada), Utrecht, Haarlem, Rotterdam, GB (25 George VI covers) and s'Gravenhage.
