dark yellow brown Small Queen, Perforated 11.85 x 11.85 on Cover, mailed Ottawa on APR.23.1873 (double broken circle free strike) to NY and franked with a 6c Small Queen tied by a fancy segmented cork, very fine. The shade is darker than usual
and is consistent with a new print employee and freshly cleaned plate, hence the venue has changed. It should be remembered, at that time printers made up their own colour mix. Accompanied by a 2019 Greene Foundation certificate. (Scan a)
