1338 PC PC imageGroup of 5 Picture Postcards Mailed to Better Destinations, 1908-1920 first is a 2c Admiral on real photo Government Bath House Banff (photo and copyright by Byron Harmon), mailed by Constable Laurendeau R.C. Mounted Police in Macleod Alberta 1920 to Georgetown, MacCarthy Island, Gambia (20c postage due). Second is a 2c Edward picture of Tadoussac Bay mailed to Tonkin, mailed NOV.21.1907, arrived Dapcau JAN.23.1908. Three other cards have various Montreal scenes (mailed from there) and are franked with 1c (no message), 2c, and two 1c and addressed to Saigon "Cocochine", all in 1908. We note 5 Small Queens, one has its reply card still attached, 1 QV Leaf card uprated with a 1c Numeral, 4 are Edward VII, an Arch issue plus another KGV card. Countries are Belgium, Holland, Germany, Scotland, Denmark. A few small faults, a few 1c SQ are stained, still overall a fine lot. Also includes a 1939 2c Arch registered AR card mailed from Vancouver to Montreal via a First Flight (Trans Canada Air Mail cachet) which ended up in Natal, South Africa (receiver and transit markings on picture side), very fine.
