64 og 46 image#46, 30c Yellow orange reprint, without gum as issued, an incredibly select example of this reprint rarity, possessing outstanding centering amid extravagantly large margins which are most uncharacteristic, with its perforations clearing the design all around which, in our opinion, occurs on probably less than 10% of the 480 sold, radiantly rich color, extremely fine; a handsome stamp; 1974, 1989 and 2002 PF certificates; ex-Lessin. (Image) 3,250.00

SOLD for $4,250.00

SOLD for $3,250.00
Will close during Public Auction
67 og 61 image#61, 30c Red orange "August", a fabulously fresh example of this immensely rare stamp, of which less than 30 examples are known to exist, possessing an overall brilliance and freshness few other examples enjoy, with truly breathtaking color, while centered slightly to left this is far better centered than the majority, full o.g. which many copies no longer retain, fully intact perforations as well, the stamp does have a vertical crease which is a common characteristic of most existing copies due to the very frail nature of the "August" papers, the crease, which is barely visible from the face, ends in small tears at both top and bottom, however the very fine and choice appearance of this rarity is not affected in any way; an infrequent opportunity to acquire one of the great rarities in U.S. philately at an affordable price; 1991 PF certificate; ex-Keenan. (Image) $25,000.00

SOLD for $8,000.00
Will close during Public Auction
68 og 62B image#62B, 10c Dark green "August", a rare mint example, deeply rich color and a sharp impression, full original gum, some natural creasing which is not unusual for this, one of which ends in a small tear, tiny gum stain at bottom, fine appearance. (Image) $7,500.00

SOLD for $900.00
Will close during Public Auction
69 O 62B image#62B, 10c Dark green "August", attractive appearing used example of this scarce and difficult stamp, exceptionally well centered, deep luxuriant color and a well incised impression on bright paper, full strike of black boxed "Paid" cancel, plus a portion of a red numeral postmark at top left, tiny closed edge tear, extremely fine appearance; 2006 PF certificate.
