644 O Unitrade #4iv var. imageUnitrade #4iv var. 3p Red on thin oily paper, an outstanding vertical strip of four, positions 9/39, the shade of this strip is a strong and intense red (accompanying certificate states slightly oxidized, which we find minimal and actually a quite vibrant color), very much unlike the orange red that usually comes on this oily paper, a descriptive term for this paper that is very thin and translucent allowing the design to show through strongly to the reverse, margins are well clear to large all around, light target cancels, also this strip, like the other two strips in the Tang collection, is completely sound, a very fine and exceedingly choice strip of this rare paper variety in this deep shade; 2001 Greene Foundation certificate; ex-Reford, Hilmer. 648 O Unitrade #4d, 4xii imageUnitrade #4d, 4xii, 3p Orange red on thin paper, major re-entry, position 61, pane B, the first stamp in a lovely and very rare horizontal strip of four, amazingly this strip has large to huge margins all around and is completely sound without the faults that so frequently plague larger multiples, the left re-entry variety has especially extravagant margins showing a small portion of the next stamp above, brilliant orange red color and clean sharp impression, each stamp with a light and unobtrusive target cancel, an extremely fine gem strip; this is the only major re-entry listed for plate B, it is most easily recognized by the doubling of the "3" at bottom left, plus there are extra lines in some of the letters of the inscription and doubling in other elements of the design, an exceptionally scarce re-entry and of great rarity in such a premium quality strip of four; 1974 BPA certificate; ex- E.
