1431 c 3 image#3, 1851 3p Dark blue, pair tied to 1856 entire folded letter to Boston, Mass. by black oval grids, blue "New Brunswick" double-arc handstamp at left, posted from Kentville, Nova Scotia with that town's August 16, 1856 c.d.s. on the reverse, plus other Nova Scotia and New Brunswick transits, pair has three clear to large margins, touching at one end, intense deep color, cover with small spindle hole, still a very fine cover to the United States. 1434 ogObl Canadian Provinces substantial mostly mint collection of several hundred largely different singles and blocks in a Lighthouse binder, items are present from each of the provinces but the largest portion is found in Newfoundland, specially laid out pages are present for the imperforate issues and substantial value will be found in this section starting with used and unused singles of #1, imperforates include mint singles and blocks of four plus a few used, some nice position pieces are present as well as singles and blocks showing papermakers watermarks, a modest representation of the late 19th century is also present including blocks, then 20th century mint sets, a few air mails including the $1.50 on $1.00 DO-X, also includes a few imperforates of Nova Scotia plus some later perforated issues from all the other provinces and a few covers, condition overall is quite nice though a few flaws are present, mint is largely with o.g. and there are even some never hinged items present, vast majority is fine-very fine or better; catalog value is quite substantial and a great deal of desirable material will be found by the those who take the effort to examine this worthwhile collection. Est. 3,000-4,000
