2362 c Fascinating Aeronautic collateral collection of 35 items relating to flying and air mail, ranges from the pioneer period as early as 1912 to the 1930's, and involves many luminaries in flight such as Charles Lindbergh, Amelia Earhart, Admiral Byrd and many others, includes a dozen contemporaneous photographs of famous fliers, many from newsreels produced for media use of current events, also nine magazines, menus, flight schedules and air show programs including 1912 Aero Club of America Bulletin, six covers including June 3, 1918 early government flight by Lt. Vannelle from New York to Boston, also several Zeppelin related items including one very attractive booklet for the 1929 Round-the-World flight, die-cut in the shape of the Graf Zeppelin and containing poetry regarding the flight, throughout on a number items (though not all) are signatures of questionable authenticity of famous people of the time including the aerounatical related figures as well as Presidents of the United States and famous inventors, all the collateral is genuine and contemporaneous and is being sold for its historical interest, examine. 2365 FDC First Day Cover collection/accumulation of over 400 covers, mostly better issues before 1940, includes some early cacheted covers of the 1920's and 1930's with commemoratives as well as some uncacheted covers, we note a 2c White Plains souvenir sheet on large Edward C. Worden FDC (edge faults to the cover not affecting the souvenir sheet), also includes better regular issues including two uncacheted FDC's each of the 1931 11c-25c Rotary Press definitives, the 17c and 25c are both Washington postings on July 27, 1931, also a stock of eight matched sets of Famous Americans cplt. with frankings ranging from singles up to plate blocks, all with matching cachets, condition varies including a few with edge faults or slight aging, but large portion are fine-very fine; a nice lot of better items. 2366 FDC First Day Cover collection/accumulation of over 400 mostly better with the largest portion being from the 1930's, plus some earlier and later, most are cacheted except for some early issues, many issues such as the Army-Navy series are collected by cachet collecting as many different cachets as possible, we note better items including 1932 Washington Bicentennial set on one cover plus single covers and February 22 Birthday covers, also a 13c Harrison (#622) North Bend FDC, and air post China Clipper issues on cacheted covers including all three values on individual covers and 20c and 50c on one cover, plus more, condition is quite clean with few exceptions, mostly fine-very fine.
