Gibbs collection, 3p and £1 are right sheet-margin examples, this unit being a sound group with fine-very fine centering; it is believed that these were printed from genuine printing plates and then unofficially gummed and rouletted, very scarce set; 1990 BPA certificate for one of the 3/- values. 640 ogO S.G. #119/185a, An impressive and valuable collection/accumulation of the Double Heads of Rhodesia, a marvelous array of well over 400 mint and used arranged in Stanley Gibbons order and showing the numerous shades in which these stamps are collected, all values in perforation 14 are present right through the £1 complete mint and all but the 7/6 are present used, these include many of the different shade combinations as well and often several examples of each, the scarcer perf. 15 issues are also complete for all values mint or used less only the £1 (example with revenue cancel removed not counted), plus all the perf. 13 1/2 values and single examples of the 3p and 4p with compound perforation of 14 and 15, each number has the mint and used together with numerous copies of lower values and less, though often several, of the higher values, condition varies as would be expected on such a large hoard as this with some small faults, usually not apparent from the face, but overall the vast majority are fresh, mint with o.g., and fine-very fine; this is truly an astounding accumulation of these popular issues, ideal for the student who wants to study shades or the specialist dealer desiring a valuable stock; this lot needs to be examined to appreciate its true scope; Stanley Gibbons catalog value well in excess of £40,000 (Scott #101/118).
