405 O S.G. #10/44c 1848-59 Classic imperforate issue balance of eighteen used stamps, twelve are the 1p Vermilion and 2p Blue first "Post Paid" designs in intermediate to latest impressions, then several of the new engraved design in various states of impression and three lithographed values including the retouched neck of the 2p Pale blue, condition is very mixed ranging from tight margins, flaws and small repairs to attractive appearing examples with large margins; Stanley Gibbons catalog value is in excess of £15,000 not counting four additional completely backed and extensively repaired stamps; accompanied by nine certificates of various organizations and experts (Scott #3b/17).
