665 Oc U1 var. image#U1 var., 3c Red on white wove paper, die 1 (type 9), size 7, knife 20, no watermark, used entire, entirely intact with full flaps, the natural folding of the envelope slightly impinges on the indicia, which was printed slightly to the right, clear "Albany/N.Y/Mar 5" c.d.s. to Syracuse, faint tone spot at top center, otherwise fresh and very fine in all respects; this extremely rare variety is only known used and it is quite possibly unique, being very specifically listed as to die type, it is also the highest valued used first issue entire; an important rarity for the Nesbitt specialist; 2000 PF certificate; ex-Barkhausen (UPSS #2-0).
