1882 ogO Old-time high cataloging collection in a 1926 Scott National album, pre-1890 issues mostly used, although a few better unused stamps will also be found, also some duplication (often on the higher values) is present, includes #1 and two #2's, 1851 and 1861 Issues to 90c, 1869 Pictorials complete (at least two each of the 15c-90c values), various Bank Notes to 90c, from 1890 on the collection is largely mint, with Small Bank Notes complete, Columbians complete, Bureau issues to $5.00, Trans-Mississippis complete (plus extra used $2.00), 1902 Issue complete including 5c imperforate pair and extra used $2.00 and $5.00, nice run of Washington-Franklins including some coils, and some useful back-of-the-book issues, mixed condition as expected on a collection formed mostly in the 1920's, therefore examination is essential, the total catalog value should be very high. 1884 O Substantial used collection in a Scott Specialty album containing hundreds of stamps to 1973, starts with a rather attractive #2 and includes a number of imperforate and perforated issues showing some of the different types of the 1851-1860 issues, attractive Civil War period issues including grills, includes 3c "C" grill plus some of the later grills to the 90c, 1869 Pictorials are complete less only the 90c, numerous Large Bank Note issues including six different grilled values to the 90c, early commemoratives are extensive including Columbians complete less only the $4.00 and Trans-Mississippis lack only the $1.00, numerous Bureau issues are present to the $2.00 and 1902-03 Issue is complete, 20th century is very comprehensive with nearly all the commemoratives complete including a White Plains sheet with violet first day cancels, numerous Washington-Franklins including coils, back-of-the-book issues contain most air mails, good value in early and better postage dues, also better officials with complete sets of the Interior and Treasury Department hard papers, and concluding with a couple hundred cut squares including some better; condition varies with faults present to better values in the class period, but from the beginning the collector tried to select stamps that had attractive appearance, and includes many that are fine-very fine or better. 1892 ogO 348/1625 #348/1625, Interesting coil collection of a few hundred mint or used coil singles, pairs or line pairs, from Washington-Franklin heads up to the Americana series, many are present in a single, pair and line pair both mint and used, with some higher cataloging mint Washington-Franklins, but also there are dozens of used pairs and line pairs, and while many of these have fairly modest catalog values, they are not easy to find, especially in any kind of quantity, very little questionable material is present, mint are o.g., a few small faults but the vast majority are fine-very fine. 1893 ogO Mostly mint balance of a once very large collection, consisting mostly of extension or other returns, includes three better Washington-Franklin coil line pairs, each with both a good and bad PF certificate, 1c Postage due with a PF certificate as #J15, but a PSE certificate as the rare special printing #J8!, some mint stamps returned for being "previously hinged", also a few better modern errors including #1867b (PSE cert.) and #2566a pane with all colors omitted (PF cert.), plus a few postal stationery varieties and some postal cards that were thought to be double impressions or missing color errors, but have PF certificates stating jitter impressions or faint traces of color present; an interesting lot that bears careful scrutiny.
