80 O 39 image#39, 90c Blue, an extraordinarily rare used example of this value, which is one of the few stamps in United States philately that is actually far more rare and valuable in used condition versus mint, with this particular copy being one of the few which is completely sound and without the myriad of flaws which affect the majority of known certified used examples, bold rich color and impression on bright fresh paper, rather well centered with huge margins on three sides, light strike of a blue Baltimore town c.d.s. versus the more commonly seen grid cancel, very fine for this rarity; according to the Philatelic Foundation records, there are approximately 170 to 180 used examples which have been certified as genuine by their service, and of these only 25% or so are sound; an important stamp for the serious collector of used U.S. stamps; 1980 and 1996 PF certificates.
