II, enormously large and perfectly balanced margins all around, fabulously fresh overall, with spectacularly intense and radiant color, deeply etched impression on immaculate paper, full pristine o.g. that is incredibly clean and has been only very lightly hinged, superb. This mint example of the 1855 Ten Cent Type II imperforate is universally accepted as one of the finest quality 19th century mint stamps in existence, as it is in a truly unbelievable state of preservation for a stamp of this vintage. A gem whose equal, as it has been stated in previous auction descriptions, simply does not exist. Virtually every time this remarkable stamp has made an appearance on the auction market its final realization has set a new record.
