99 O 39 image#39, 90c Blue, a phenomenal used example of this value, which is one of a very few stamps in United States philately that is actually far more rare and valuable in used condition versus mint, with this exciting copy being not only one of a few that is completely sound, but ranks among the very finest in existence, as it is completely free of the myriad of flaws which affect the majority of known used examples, fantastically well centered within exceptionally large margins for this, gloriously rich color in an especially dark shade of blue, with a crisp prooflike impression on bright fresh paper, all marvelously complemented by a neat light strike of a black Philadelphia town c.d.s. (one of the few certified with such a desirable cancel), an extremely fine gem in every regard; an immense condition rarity of extraordinary beauty and eye appeal; according to the Philatelic Foundation records, there are approximately 170 to 180 used examples that have been certified as genuine by their service, and of these only about 25% are sound, of the sound examples only two or three can compare to the overall quality of the stamp offered here; 1980 and 1995 PF certificates.
