581 ogX 408 image#408, 1c Green imperforate, a very rare full right margin imprint, letter "A" and plate no. 5727 block of six, enormous margins all around having been cut from the sheet so that significant portions of nine adjoining stamps show, intense color, o.g., extremely fine; a surprisingly elusive plate block with a full imprint which, according to Martin A. Armstrong in his book Washington-Franklins 1908-21, exists "only through the remainders or excess sheets from the coil production. The majority of this lot had the right margins trimmed off and therefore a right side plate block showing the type-I imprint is extremely rare." (Image) 550.00
