544 XXX 377 image#377, 4c Brown, along with 2c Carmine (#375) and 6c Orange (#379), singles of each tied to Special Delivery cover to Linden, Iowa, stamps tied by three neat strikes of "Des Moines, Iowa/May 25, 1911" duplex postmarks, being the earliest recorded usage of Scott #377, R.P.O. and Linden arrival postmarks on reverse, stamps have been lifted for watermarking and hinged back in place, 6c with small fault at left, minor restoration of partially eradicated address line, fine; at one time this cover represented the earliest known usage of all three stamps, however, the dates for the 2c and 4c values have been subsequently superceded, still leaving this as the EKU of record for the 4c value; ex-Hadley and Stollnitz.
