1751 O R31c image#R31c, 6c Proprietary, an extraordinary quality example of one of the most difficult of all United States issues to find in premium condition, as most known examples, according to the footnote found in the Scott catalog, are "faulty or repaired and poorly centered", the particular example offered here is completely free of the reparations found on most and possesses exceptional centering, even its color is out of the ordinary, being quite fresh and vibrant, faintly cancelled, with the exception of a truly insignificant surface scrape to the perforation tip in the top right corner (could easily be removed) this copy is completely free of the characteristic flaws affecting nearly every known example, very fine; a rare opportunity to acquire this important revenue rarity in outstanding condition; the catalog value quoted in Scott is for a fine centered copy with faults and does not accurately reflect this particular example's true market value; 1986 PF certificate; ex-Handy.
