I, perf. 10 horiz., the mint single offered here may very well be the largest margined, never hinged #449 in existence, as this stamp is quite well known not only for its typical poor centering, but for its tight margins as well (particularly at top and bottom), this exciting stamp is one of the few existing exceptions to the rule, as it possesses incredibly large margins all around, and it is extraordinarily well centered within these lavish borders, fabulously fresh as well, with intense red color characteristic only to genuine examples, pristine o.g., n.h., extremely fine; while we have had the pleasure over the years to offer some truly exceptional examples of this coil rarity, none have combined the elements of centering, margins and pristine state of the gum like the example offered here; we fully expect this remarkable stamp to realize a record price; 2000 PF certificate.
