695 FDC   Handpainted first day covers and related items from the Ralph Dyer estate, includes about 100 fully handpainted Dyer first day covers of the United States, plus dozens more from the United Nations and even a couple Canada, in addition there are many hundreds of other first day covers, including a few handpainted from other artists, some uncacheted, but the most interesting part of the lot is the original Dyer artwork, with about 20 drawings each approximately 8 1/2 x 11", with a variety of themes including several related to Mexico, also there are dozens of tracing stencils that Dyer used to create his handpainted first day covers, plus there is a pile of letters from his correspondence with various people throughout the world, fine-very fine; due to the bulk, we will only bring the handpainted FDC's and Dyer's original work to New York for viewing, the entire lot must be viewed in our Dallas offices.
