2890 ogO Saudi Arabia impressive mostly mint collection to 1939 on Scott pages, the most important feature of this collection is the fact that noted Saudi Arabia expert John Wilson has reviewed the entire collection and attested to all the stamps being genuine (a 2003 letter stating such accompanies), the 167 items noted as being forgeries were removed and placed in a separate stockbook which accompanies the lot, there is strong representation from the Hejaz issues, particularly the Jeddah overprints, with catalog values to about $450.00, the Nejd issues are also quite desirable, with early overprints to $350.00 catalog value, plus the 1934 First Issue of the Kingdom is complete both perforated and imperforate, also back-of-the-book issues, o.g., mostly fine-very fine; an intriguing collection of one of the most challenging areas in all of philately.
