1916, letter from Bombay to Meched, via Kuh Malek Siah Ziaret, franked on back with 172 anna x 5, for the foreign letter rate, stamps tied by Bombay 19 March 16. Also on back is circular Koh-I-Malik Siah Ziaret Indian PO 6 April, at which
point the cover was transferred to Iranian postal authorities for delivery. The Kuh Malek date stamp was applied twice, once with a wrong date (deleted with red pen). Meched arrival 9 April 16. A very interesting cover that passed by the office at
the junction of Persia, India, and Afghanistan. The cover has a slight hole and part of the bottom right corner is missing. (Image 1)
