1876-2008, A very comprehensive collection of Greek postal stationery cards in five large albums, with detailed written analysis by a knowledgeable collector about printing, franking, postal rates, and markings, etc. Starting with
detailed study of the early 1876 Hermes post cards (used and unused), many with attractive and scarce frankings (e.g. large Hermes heads, and multiples) and good range of foreign destinations. Interesting sections include specimen cards, airmail,
military cards of WW1 and WW2 with a range of censorship markings (Greek and foreign) and very scarce censored military cards sent free of charge. A very comprehensive collection in excellent quality throughout that deserves close study and viewing.
Ideal for the serious collector and a collection with a great potential for exhibiting. (Image 1)
