1873 (Nov 24) envelope to Belvidere endorsed "(Outside mail from Pinjarrah)" with Swans 2d bistre x2 tied by very fine Perth duplex cancel, largely very fine 'PINJARRAH/NO24/1873/WESTERN AUSTRALIA' unframed cds transit backstamp, a few minor transmission marks & closed tears on back flap. The rate was double 2d per ½oz intra-Colonial letter. Belvidere (Beach) lies some 75km S of Pinjarrah and never had a Post Office; the closest major towns to Belvidere are Australind & Bunbury, yet the endorsement unusually requests carriage outside the regular mails from Pinjarrah.
