NUMERAL CANCELLATIONS: A substantial accumulation in two large Prinz stockbooks; arranged largely in numerical order, with much duplication. A quick review noted many S, R and RR rated examples and there are sure to be many more discoveries. A lifetime's work. (many 100s).
A STUDY OF THE BARRED NUMERAL "1" OF MELBOURNE: A ten-page display prepared for a club competition on well annotated pages. Includes a lovely pair of the 3d Half Lengths with full margins (SG.11), two pairs, a strip of 3 and six single 2d Queen-on-Thrones, a 6d Dull Orange attractively tied on an outer cover to Tasmania, a rouletted 6d blue Q-o-T on 1859 cover to Sydney, plus other stamps and a cover illustrating the various types of postmark described by Purvis. (45 stamps, 3 covers).
THE BARRED NUMERAL "2" OF GEELONG: 2d Queen-on-Throne: four pairs and 3 singles (various printings) with good strikes of types 1 and 2, together with a May 1857 "TOO LATE" cover to Melbourne bearing an Imperf 4d attractively tied.

POSTMARKS: A five volume collection/accumulation, with one volume devoted entirely to MELBOURNE cds's and the other four to the numeral cancellations, with quite a few Rated examples seen, especially amongst the high numbers. (1000s). A great source of material from a deceased estate.
