image 1867, 12c BLACK Z GRILL USED XF JUMBO PF GRADED VF-XF 85J, #85E, a magnificent example of the rare 12-cent Z grill in an intense black shade, huge, oversized margins and a bold, yet face-free circle of wedges cancel, extremely fine jumbo single, ex. Sheriff and Drucker, with 1983, 2002, 2024 P.F. certs.

This stamp ranks number 7 out of 302 ranked examples in the StampAuctionNetwork census placing it in the very top tier of singles offered in the past 30+ years. Showing a very clearly defined Z grill adds to it desirability. This particular single achieved a $14,750 result when offered at auction in 2019 -- now with a PF Graded 85J cert -- the highest and only Graded Jumbo in either the PF or PSE population reports. image 1872, 90c CARMINE USED GRADED '95', #155, beautiful carmine color, exceptionally well centered with large well-balanced margins, light cork cancel, extremely fine - superb, with 2010 & 2020 P.F. certs, latter graded '95', and 2010 PSE cert. graded '95', SMQ $2,500.00

This stamp ranks #7 out of 292 in the StampAuctionNetwork census. Only four stamps have a higher grade in the PSE population report and nine others share this grade. That leaves only 15 copies in this superior condition to have been examined by PSE in the last 20+ years, This stamp sold for $2,950.00 at auction in 2012 (Image1)

This stamp ranks #3 out of 123 stamps on the StampAuctionNetwork census. In 2007 it sold for $5,700.00 in auction. Only six stamps grade higher, there are a total of eight stamps achieving the 98 grade according to the PSE population report. (Image1)

Cat No: 545

image 1921, 1c GREEN PERF. 11 COIL WASTE MINT GRADED '95', #545, a stunning single in with great color virtually perfectly centered, so lightly hinged that easily could be mistaken for never hinged, extremely fine/superb, with 2007 PSE cert., graded '95', SMQ $450.00

It is currently #2 in the StampAuctionNetwork census out of 71 mint singles. This is another "sleeper". Just like the 5c Jamestown offered in this sale there are only 15 singles total between mint hinged and mint never hinged that has achieved this grade or higher. The fact as it ranks #2 in the census speaks for how rarely this issue is offered in premium quality. (Image1)

Cat No: PR92

image 1894, 4c INTENSE BLACK NEWSPAPER MINT GRADED '95', #PR92, stunning example with deep proof-like impression, full lightly hinged original gum, incredibly well-centered for the issue with four large margins, extremely fine/superb, with 2006 P.F. cert. graded '95', there is no SMQ value for this grade the highest grade being 90J which lists for $1,100, should we venture an educated guess that a '95' would be in the range of $1,300-1,500?

This single is ranked #1 out of 45 stamps in the StampAuctionNetwork's census bring it to the top of the chart. We looked back for decades of auction results, but failed to find any mint PR92 to match this one. Perhaps we didn't look hard enough, but for now this stamp is the best of the best (Image1)
