Cat No: Collection
1939-40 WWII Swiss Army Post Collection in 4 volumes, with the stamps appearing to be 'locals' for usage within the Swiss Army internal postal system. The covers include envelopes and postcards (mostly philatelic), many being of formular derivation, either by organisation, or individual units, and others being private, and most bear either specific Field Post or various Berne post office cancels. The original collection typed annotations are in German, as is the idiosyncratic index of the topic or purpose at the front of each volume (a describer translation has been provided). A comprehensive illustrated yuan priced catalogue in Chinese is included for */** & used (no info for covers), and has been used by the vendor as a checklist. Vendor (in Chinese) and describer hand annotations should assist in assessing the extent, and value of the collection. Challenging viewing with scope for expansion. 9.4kg (c1,070 items) (Image1)
