Absent from Gary Diffen's collection, and believed to be the only recorded example. Ex Don Pearce: sold for $898 (Sale 249 Lot 1458). It might be thought that perforations have been trimmed from all sides of this stamp. However, stamps with perforations clear of the design on all sides are extremely elusive and we consider the likelihood of perfs having been removed from this stamp to be extremely low. We share Don Pearce's confidence that this is a genuine error. (Image1)

Separate Peter Holcombe Certificates (1986). The Gibbons listing is confusing: they are listed following the 1899-1901 issue, despite having been released in 1891, and the overprint is 21mm wide compared to 17mm for the 1899-1901 issue.
