[This and the next four lots are genuine stamps with forged overprints that could easily snare the unwary] Our professional opinion is that forgeries have a legitimate role in a serious collection. Forgeries enable comparison and are thus a valuable reference tool. Of course, forgeries are a collecting field in their own right and enthusiasts often pay more for a skillful or beguiling forgery than for the genuine article. All are fully illustrated as a guide for all collectors.
