Cat No: Collection
The Glory of Portugal. Attractive, desirable stamp collection, 1850s to 1982. Generally, F-VF. Arranged chronologically and housed in two luxury stockbooks. Most items are labeled with year of issue and Scott catalog number, and we noticed that many stamps are present in mint and used format. Few, if any, souvenir sheets. Much of the monetary and philatelic value rests in the singles and sets from the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, with a lovely stock of definitives, commemoratives and Ceres issues. The coverage of BOB material is also noteworthy. Finally, the stamps from Madeira add interest and value to an already stunning collection. View and enjoy. (Image)

The Portugal portion from a large worldwide collection. Pages run to about 1985 but stamps fizzle out a bit before that. Contains some beneficial classics and some better mint sets (595-602, 605-614, and 650-657). Also spotted some moderate to better singles such as 720 NH. A useful lot. (Image)
