image The 1851 New Carlisle 3d Provisional Information Package, a binder containing about 35 mostly original documents pertaining to this unique and fascinating cover. The group, dating between 1977 and 1985 includes the cover's original B.P.A. certificate from 1980, several newspaper and magazine articles, correspondence (some to and from Stanley Gibbons and Scott pertaining to the listing and valuation of the item), an original Press Release from K.M. Robertson (Victoria BC stamp dealer) from November 1977 announcing his recent purchase of the cover, two different legal contracts listing different owners of the cover and more. A very useful portfolio for the postal historian or especially for the person who currently owns this cover. (Image)
