1901-05 British New Guinea Rosettes Watermark Vertical Thin Paper Comb Perf 14 2/6d black & brown SG 16a, light Port Moresby '15DE05' unframed cds cancel, Cat £1400. The Thin Paper 4d 6d 1/- & 2/6d were made available only to the Queensland Agent-General in London. Only a few used examples are recorded, presumably having been sent to Port Moresby with requests for per favour cancellations. The date on this stamp is the same as that on Peter Troy's similarly-centred example that sold in 2009 for $1437 (Sale 149 Lot 2098). (Image1)

1932-40 Pictorials WCG McCracken Imprint blocks ½d black & buff SG 130a block of 8 (4x2) very fine, 1d black & green SG 131 block of 12 (6x2; two units & imprint affected by a vertical crease), and 4d olive-green block of 4, plus ½d black & orange SG 130 John Ash Imprint block of 10 (minor blemishes) for comparison.
