Africa, 4 June 1877" in the lower left corner by the sender, franked by G.B 6d grey plate 15 (perfs trimmed at right) cancelled by an unusual Star type dumb cancel, London (July 2) backstamps, flap removed, otherwise fine and a very unusual use of a G.B stamp from Lagos. QV - QEII Stamps and covers, the cancellation collection in two albums; also a study of the 1953-58 2d stamp and Cameroons U.K.T.T set mint and used; and a large quantity of stamps and pieces in packets, sorted by stamp but unpicked for cancellations, earlier issues for Niger Coast and Southern Nigeria clearly containing many Paquebots, Hamburg datestamps, squared circles and c.d.s cancels, also later skeletons, etc. (1000s).
