image 1850 (Oct 16) outer with superb Sydney Views Plate III 2d ultramarine SG 29 [2] with margins good to large & outer framelines at top & left tied by neat bars cancel of Sydney (b/s), light Maitland arrival b/s, faint vertical fold & small filled spikehole, Pfenninger guarantee h/s at L/R. A very fine Sydney View cover: not included in Ben Palmer's Census. [Almost as fine as the 1851 entire with Plate V 2d that sold at our auction of 1.12.2019 for $2320]

image 1851 (Jan 25) OHMS part-entire with rare franking of Sydney Views Plate IV 2d ultramarine with Unshaded Hill SG 31a [12] (margins just clear to large with outer framelines at top & left), untidy bars cancel of Sydney largely clear of the variety, oval 'RAYMOND TERRACE/[crown]/JA*28/1851/NEW.S.WALES' arrival b/s. Ben Palmer's Census #53. A very attractive Sydney Views cover, greatly enhanced by the variety. [This is the second-earliest Plate IV cover recorded by Palmer, 'beaten' only by his #51 of 22.1.1851]
