This is the rarest face-different stamp of all the Australian Colonies and the Commonwealth! Only nine examples - three unused and six used, one of which is in the Royal Collection - are recorded. On this basis it should be worth more than the Queensland Two Corners 6d ($25,000+) of which some 18 examples are known. Absent from such important collections as John White, 'Carrington' (Mark Dankin), Sir Gawaine Baillie, 'Chartwell', 'Besancon' and 'Dubois'.
