1915 social usage of local PPC of three topless maidens & message headed "Madang 5 1 1[5]", to Stephansort correctly rated but with by-now invalid Yachts 5pf tied by a largely very fine strike of the defaced 'KAISERLICHES BEZIRKSGERICHT/[eagle]/FRIEDRICH-WILHELMSHAFEN' court seal used before provision of the new 'MADANG' cds. A rare non-philatelic usage on a postcard. BPA Certificate (2011) states that the item is genuine but does not mention that it was used during the Australian Occupation, that the defacement was done by the Occupying Forces, or that the stamp was invalid.
