POSTAL HISTORY: (Dec) mostly commercial or social airmail covers per 'Uiver' (= stork) all with 'AMSTERDAM/BATAVIA/[stork & Christmas wreath]/DE UIVER/19 DECEMBER 1934' cachet in rosine, a good range of Dutch frankings & postmarks, all recovered from the crash-site near Rutbah Wells in Iraq in which all occupants were killed, eight with little or no damage, nine with obvious to major damage from fire &/or water, three Bandoeng roneo'd advice slips & British 'The article which "may have" become separated from the attached cover cannot at present be identified...' printed advice (reinforced along central fold). A poignant group from this famous air crash.
