1804 Small 8 Uncirculated Details. An attractive example of early American gold coinage w/ great luster and a very full strike. A light cleaning has left a myriad of hairlines on the obv but they are not particularly distracting especially given the scarcity of gold coins of this era which usually come with blemishes of some kind. From an original mintage of 30,475 very few remain. A rare opportunity for the advanced collector to add a scarce gold type coin to the collection! (Image)
