1796 Small Date; Large Letters Bolender-4 BB-61 VF+ detail. There are two small scratches (3 to 4mm) on Liberty's neck and another lighter behind Liberty's hair (5mm). Other than those blemishes the coin is perfectly original, even light grey in color and very attractive. (Note: This particular die variety is notorious for having a weakly impressed reverse. Even AU+ specimens have indistinct or "fuzzy" eagle detail.) (Image)
