Emergency mail : Tel Aviv cover features rare stamps tied by Minhelet Ha'am postmarks: a 10 mil Tel Aviv stamp and an 11 mil red emergency stamp from Nahariya. The cover was transmitted by Minhelet Ha'am post at the Haifa Head Post Office to Nahariya, where it was further processed by the Local Council mail service and transferred by sea to Nahariya. Here, the incoming mail service charge was collected by affixing the distinctive "11 mil" red local delivery stamp. The stamp was utilized toward the end of the service, once supplies of yellow labels had been depleted. Valued at $750 according to the Bale catalogue, its historical significance and rarity make it a valuable piece.(Image 1)(Image)

1948: A cover franked with a 10 mil Doar Ivri stamp but cancelled with a Minhelet Ha'am postmark from Safad during the interim period. The sender's address is written on the back, indicating it was sent from a visitor at the Carmel Hotel in Safad and addressed to a family relative in Givat Ada. This cover is unique due to the combination of an Israel stamp and a pre-State of Israel postmark, which was accepted and used as the cover was indeed posted.(Image 1)(Image)
