FORGERIES: 1847 'POST OFFICE' 1d x5 & 2d x5 plus with 'Fac-simile' Overprint x5; 1848 'POST PAID' 1d x6 & 2d x6 with 'Fac-simile' Overprint x9 plus 'autotype' complete sheetlets of 12 (3x4) of the 1d x8 (one with the outer margins removed) and 2d x5, these with some minor peripheral damage not affecting the impressions. POSTMARKS: Display pages with superb 12-bar obliterator, 'target' cancel x7 (four of Mare d'Albert), Double-Ring Numerals '1' to '16' complete ('11' & '15' have not been recorded), Triple-Ring Numerals '1' x3 & '2' in blue x2, double-circle 'G P O/DE 6/1850', boxed 'FREE' x2 & superb '[T]OO LAT[E]', the stamps include 'POST PAID' 1d x6 (all defective/repaired) & several other Imperfs, most of the strikes are fine to very fine.
