1859 1/2 Gr. plate I, orange (arancio), twelve examples composing of two pairs on obverse plus single 10 Gr., and on reverse a further pair and strip of six, the stamps on reverse are from positions 11-12 and 13-18, one of the pairs on front 19-20 and as such very rare to have a complete row on any cover, the pair at bottom slight paper fault, other reinforcements to entire itself, all on 1859 (21 Mag) large part entire from Messina to Vittoria. paying the 1-ounce domestic registered rate.
A unique franking and a major rarity.

1859 1/2 Gr. plate I, pair, bright orange (arancio vivo) position 31-32 (retouch on 31), and four singles from plate II 1 Gr. grayish olive green (verde oliva grigiastro), positions 16, 17, 65 and 70, mostly good to fine margins, on 1859 (28 Aug) outer letter sheet Messina to Napoli, the name of the addressee re-inserted on piece of paper, a fine and unlisted 5 Grana franking in Sassone, paying the domestic letter rate for two and a half sheets. An important rarity.
