Hong Kong, Enticing Mint and Used Collection, 1862-1995, a bit of a smorgasbord, the main collection housed in a slipcased Lighthouse hingeless album, mostly used through King George VI, mint (much never hinged) Queen Elizabeth II; highlights include (used, unless noted) #1-7, 17, 23, 31-35, 33a, 35A with Ningpo "N1" killer, 36-48, 36b, 43a, 47a, 50, 56-58, 60, 60A (mint), 60B-60C, 66, 67, 68 (mint and used), and a near-complete run of Elizabethan issues; also included in the lot are a binder of Hong Kong Treaty Port cancels arranged by Webb type, along with Paquebot, Canton and Macau Steamer Box, Philippine ship, IPO Tie-prints, Straits Settlements, Hong Kong Daily Press, Singapore and Sea Post cancels; a counter book of 1994-97 souvenir sheets including overprinted; a 1990-96 collection on loose pages with pairs, gutters, Framas, etc.; and an attractive Revenue collection arranged by B&H numbers; the lot is rounded out by an excellent array of reference works including a pristine Webb (with scarcity guide and supplementary bibliography), Schoenfeld on Treaty Port cancels, Huygen and Barefoot Revenue catalogues, and more; well worth the time to review, Very Fine overall, main collections imaged in full online.
