SOUTH WEST AFRICA: Postmarks straight-line 'Owikokorero/D.S.W.Afrika' very fine strike in black below very fine strike of the unengraved Wanderstempel of 7.9/05, on stampless official cover to "Swakopmund" (light large-part arrival backstamp of 13.9/05), minor bends. Ralph Putzel & Peter Morrison at page 155 state that the cds was an old one from which the inscriptions had been removed. If that was the case, one would expect void space where the lettering was removed. We think it's more likely that it was an unengraved blank. (Image1)
