1840-1939 Collection in a hingeless DAVO simplified album. The used 1840-1902 period contains many defective items, including 1840 1d grey-black SG #3g MC in red (£425), 1847 1/- page green embossed SG #54, (£1,000), 1865 9d SG #98 (£600), 1867 9d & 10d SG #111-2 (£725) & 1867 5/- SG #127 Plates 1 & 2 (£1,250) and are not counted; plus others, while otherwise sound, have heavy cancels including 1873 6d SG #125 (£300), 1876 8d SG #156 (£350) 1902 KEVII 5/- & 10/- SG #264-5 (£720). There are many identified in the £50-£350 range that are reasonable or with bearable blemishes that enhance the value. The simplified used QV Jubilee and the following KEVII issues to 1/- are mainly reasonable or better with odd mint inclusions. The KGV-QEII periods to 1964 are reasonably solid used with increasing */** through the KGVI-QEII period (the missing items include the £1 PUC and some phosphors). The collection from 1965-86 appears complete per pages, mainly used with regular MUH inclusions. At the back, scattered Officials, Postage Dues, and Regionals; careful viewing will reward. 1840-1970 in the simplified and representative illustrated 'STANLEY GIBBONS GREAT BRITAIN STAMP ALBUM' with reasonably solid, mainly used 1840-1883 variable condition content. There are a good few defective better items identified, which are not counted, as well as those with bearable blemishes for the issue, eg 1840 1d black with black MC cancel SG #2g, (tiny tear at base, £375), 1847 1/- green embossed SG #55 4-margins with very fine BN '466' of Liverpool (small thin and closed tear at top, £1,000), 1867 5/- SG #127 Plate 2 (creased and small thin, £1,500), 1880 1/- SG #151 (shallow thin, £550), 1883 10/- SG #183 (heavy cds, £525) also not counted, plus a few others. This period is also blessed with many reasonable to fine stamps with cat value north of £5,000, including 1867 10d red-brown SG #112 (£400), 1876 8d SG #156 (£350) and many others up to cat £275 (50). Then very solid content from 1887 Jubilee onwards to 1966 on the simplified basis, including sideways wmks and all phosphors with increasing mint through the KGVI-QEII periods, and complete MLH 1966 to the end. A very worthwhile collection and value at the estimate. (660) (Image1)

1840-1970 in Specialised Illustrated extensively annotated SG Windsor album with variably used content with a very high cat value to 1863, followed by a gap to largely complete used 1887-92, 1900 QV Jubilee, and 1902 KEVII then a gap to a reasonably representative 1937-59 range followed by 1967-70 MLH content. Outside of the foregoing, among many other better items (e.g. pages 27 & 29 in range SG #142 (17) - SG #169 [34], cat £4,000 alone) we noted used 1840 1d black SG 2g, 3 margins, 1841 1d red imperf/blued SG #9 with scarce BN 56 type A of Gringley, 1861 1d red plate numbers array to #218 including #208-218 (90+), 1855-57 6d pale lilac SG #70 with scarce BN '193' of Chipping Sodbury, 1865-67 4d SG #95 plate numbers 8, 11, 13 & 14, 1872-73 6d pale buff SG #123 plate numbers 11 & 12 and 1883 10/- Ultramarine SG #183, The early period includes some identified defective items that were not counted. Careful viewing to allow for the condition will be well rewarded at the estimate. (c400) (Image1)

1840-1987 in the simplified and representative illustrated 'STANLEY GIBBONS GREAT BRITAIN STAMP ALBUM' starting with 1840 1d grey-black 3-margins with diffused red MC cancel SG #3g (£425) and 2d blue 1 margin SG #5 with black MC cancel (£975) then variable QV content in mixed condition to simplified 1897-1902 Jubilee, littered with identified defective scarce to rare stamps and nothing in the way of high values other than the 1883-84 5/- & 10/- SG #181,183. There are however, plenty of pickings in fair to reasonable condition including 1877 4d sage-green SG #153, 8d orange SG #156 (fair) and 1883 6d on 6d lilac SG #162 (reasonable). The KEVII period comprises simplified 1902-13 to 5/- (17). The KGV period is reasonably solid with the 1913-18 Seahorses being BW 2/6d & 5/- SG #414,416, and lacking the 1929 £1 PUC. The KGVI - QEII pre-decimal period is approx. 90% complete per pages and the 1971-87 decimal period is missing very few items. At the back scattered ranges of Regionals and Channel Islands. Cat No: Collection
1840-1990 Collection in range SG #2g-1530 on DIY pages in a PLYMOUTH stamp album and is very solid on a representative and/or simplified basis. The QV-KGV periods are characterised by the very scarce to rare key items present being either defective per annotations, including 1d black SG #2g, the 1847-54 embossed set inc. shades (4), 1867 10/- SG #128, 1913 £1 green Seahorses SG #403, 1929 £1 PUC SG #438; the cat value of the defective £500+ content is £10,000+, or with significant blemishes, noting 1867 QV 5/- SG #127 poorly centred (£725), and 1884 QV £1 SG #185, small closed tear (£3,200) - the cancels throughout these periods are very variable. Not including the foregoing, there is considerable value in the fair to reasonably used and occasionally fine used content, with many better pickings within the criteria including 1867 9d straw SG #110, 1883-84 QV 2/6d to 10/- (3), 1876 8d orange SG #156, 1902-13 KEVII 2/6d to 10/- (3), 1913 KGV Multiple Royal Cypher wmk set SG #397-8 (2) and 1913-18 Seahorses set (3, BW SG #415-7) with total cat value £11,000+. The KGVI and QEII pre-decimal periods appear largely complete on a simplified basis, and the 1971-90 decimals appear substantially complete. A solid array of Regionals and Channel Islands is at the back, and there are no Postage Dues present. Careful viewing is needed and the annotations should be helpful. (qty) (Image1)
