1922-2006 'Semi-Postal' Collection (i.e. charity sets, various fund sets, and other issues with premiums added to the postage rate for revenue raising purposes) on formular album pages, idiosyncratically presented with the vendor descriptions mostly bearing no resemblance to the catalogue descriptions. Sale No: 2196
Lot No: 3148
Symbol: U/*/*
Cat No: Collection
1946-49 Accumulation variably duplicated in a bulging medium size album, some considerably, with the easily dislodged duplication crammed into the album storage lines in bundles. Some of the bundles are */**/MNG, some U and some mixed U/*/**/MNG independently of perf, type, etc, the whole presentation making for challenging viewing and assessment. For example, the 1947-48 A, B & R Zones 3m brown-lake SG #947 bundles contained used x4 (£124) and the 1948-49 B & A Zones 5Dm blue used bundles (no mint) contained Type IV x3 SG #A135 and Type V x19 SG #A135a (£215). All 'mint' content of any value will need to be checked for *, ** or MNG; e.g, all of the French Zone high cat value Red Cross sets are MNG. The rare Russian Zone 1945 East Saxony used definitive set perf 11, Mi #42DII-50DII (not listed in SG) has all per favour cancels and thus as is. In addition, scattered Saar with odd pickings at the back. Despite the poor presentation and misleading quality parameters in places, dedicated viewing should reward at estimate. (qty) (Image1)
