Our professional view is that forgeries have a legitimate role in a serious collection. Forgeries enable comparison and are thus a valuable reference tool. Of course, forgeries are a collecting field in their own right and enthusiasts often pay more for a skillful or beguiling forgery than for the genuine article.

MARSHALL ISLANDS - JAPANESE OCCUPATION IN WORLD WAR I: Yachts 3pf to 80pf plus extra 3pf 25pf 30pf 40pf & 80pf each with broad-oval personal 'chop' of Sub-Lt Kobayashi, and 3pf to 80pf missing the 30pf but with an extra 40pf each with oval personal 'chop' of Paymaster K Tamura, generally very fine with large-part o.g.
