image 1849-2000: General collection of France housed in 5 Lighthouse preprinted albums (hingeless), the collections is besides the true rarities quite complete, Ceres 1849 except '1 Fr. Vermillion' all present, with no less than three examples of the 1 Franc red-brown, Bordeaux issue, alle values present etc. etc. In spite of the odd fault or a shorter margin here and there, mainly highly appealing examples. From 1900 on almost only unused with a few gaps, but with on the other hand quite a lot of better stamps, as '20 F Merson', 'Bordeaux Expo 1923', '50 Francs Airpost Banknote', 'Samothrace', 'Pexip Souvenir Sheet' etc. From 1938 on complete and from 1945 no more hinged stamps detected. In addition three registered covers 'lettres chargées / letrtres recommandées' incl. 1879 double rate cover from Dunieres struck with rectangular 'R' handstamp in red instead of the 'R' with rounded corners, a usage known after 1873 only in seven post offices.
