1849-1944 Mostly Used with occasional mint in the difficult-to-assess simplified illustrated Lighthouse album with the early issues to c.1876 in very mixed condition in places, including among others, the key 1849-52 Ceres 10c, 15c and 40c (cat £2,425) as space-fillers, the 1853-61 simplified Napoleon III set is mostly defective including 25c SG #63 (£325) thinned and 1f SG #72 (£4,000) with a complete horizontal repaired tear, the 1869 5f SG #131 (£1,200) has a complete vertical repaired tear, 1876 10c green P&C Type II SG 231 (£325) large repaired tear and the variable condition simplified 1870-71 Bordeaux Siege issues are as is including faults. Notwithstanding, there are regular useful pickings including the simplified 1900-27 Merson type set, 1922 War Orphan Fund surcharges set SG #388-91 */U and 1859-84 Postage Due range noting 1871 25c SG #D212 1881-92 20c & 60c SG #D286,D290.
