CINDERELLAS: 1892 Cake Fair 6d scarlet/orange label, roughly perforated on all sides, no gum as always, paper hinge remainder, remarkably fine for these fragile items, most of which have significant defects. Gerald Patterson's imperf example sold at our auction of 12.10.2012 for $860 (Sale 176 Lot 251). The printing on orange is believed to be of proof status, a suggestion supported by this example having lines ruled on all sides in indelible pencil apparently as a guide for the perforating. This is the only perforated example on orange we have recorded. (Image1)
